I recently attended this seminar in Sacramento, CA. Basically they recruit sales people and try to sell life insurance policies.
I am not familiar with the life insurance market, so can anyone tell me:
1. Is this a good product compared to other life insurance policies (can you actually sell it)?
2. Does the company have a good reputation?
3. Can anyone share any success stories (as a salesperson of this company, or as a customer of their policies)?
Here are some websites about First Financial Security, Inc:
(the life insurance product): www.lifeofsouthwest.com
(the company): www.firstfinancialsecurity.com
(the parent company): www.nationallife.com
I've looked up the A.M. Best rating for National Life Insurance Company (NLIC), and it is rated at only a B+ (Good).
A.M. Best has been rating the finacial strengths and claims-paying abilities of insurance companies since 1899. Their top rates for companies is A++ (Superior), A+ (Superior), A (Excellent), A- (Excellent).
Compare those top A.M. Best rates with the rating as stated above for NLIC, and make up your own mind if you should persue the opportunity.
Here are the names of some of the companies you might look into if you are looking for a career in the insurance business: (Not in any particular order of preference)
Metlife, Nationwide Insurance, State Farm, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, Liberty Life, Monumental Life, Westen-Southern Life Insurance Co., Horace Mann.
You may Google each of these to find their web sites.
Best wishes.
